I have encountered & experienced many traits; some seem good while others are disgusting. What would you do if you had to coexist with a person whose behaviors are out of the scope of social norms? Of course, you cannot run away because you have to live together due to an avoidable circumstance. It is sealed by fate.
Be Positive
In such a situation, you have to show resilience. Regaining your psyche over & over without getting exhausted! Is that possible? Yes, it is. Though it's not a walkover task but a force to reckon with. You need to gird your loins. From the lens of comparative sense, such a situation is awful and ill-fated. However, if we bring the idea of absolute sense, that situation is a platform for character development!
Why would I say that?
This is because, in the event of interacting with such people, we can evaluate ourselves. We become aware of disgusting qualities that tend to hurt our counterparts, and then we reform and avoid such. To be precise, bad qualities birth noble qualities by eliminating bad qualities/ characters through evaluation - benchmarking characters.
The Marking Scheme of Character
If you are Christian, you will eventually discover that Jesus Christ is the benchmark of characters. To be honest, there's no such perfect benchmark of character like Jesus Christ. He scored 100 percent in the flesh test. He has become the marking scheme.
Jesus overcame the flesh and so shall we if we cling to him; beseeching help constantly as we evaluate our traits.
Get Ready For the Kingdom of God
I exhort us to knock off anything that gratifies flesh. I'm very confident of a Kingdom to Come, a Kingdom that will arrive from beyond history, bringing history to a climax. End of the curve. We will be judged by our deeds…Reve. 20:12.
Have faith
Purpose to do whatever is good, noble...as St. Paul advises. We have little knowledge (but it's enough to see us through this dispensation) which seems fictitious and unpromising but we have to be content with that. Such is faith, seeing unseen things…Hebrews 11.
Count a friend more important than you, suppress pride. Read the Word. Pray
